It was euphoric as both students and staff of Nemie Schools celebrated the Christmas party to mark the end of rigorous academic activities for the first term. The students, in their sartorial elegance, danced to music, sang Christmas songs in sonorous and melodious voices, and also participated in games: it was as though the party should never end.

In her speech, the proprietress, Mrs Nkechi Osagie briefly reminded the students of the very essence of the Christmas celebration, while concomitantly encouraging them to emulate the virtues of Jesus Christ.

The memorable event anchored by a distinguished host, Miss Cynthia Dickinson, saw the students also engage in intellectual exercise: answering quizzes. The students also did not slack when it came to the entertainment session as they wasted no time in twirling their bodies, ‘breaking their legs”, as trendy songs oozed from the loudspeakers.

Ebere Goodluck, a JSS3 student of this school told Nemie TV that the party was a memorable one for him as he relishes the experience. Osagie Praise, also a JSS3 student, especially gave kudos to the management for coming up with such a grand party. Owoeye Funmilola, a Stage Two student, was ecstatic; she revealed that the party made her happy, amidst soft giggles.

The teachers also shared the excitement. Mr Ayotunde, the Mathematics teacher nicknamed the “Pythagoras of Nemie” described the event as “cool”; Mr Hassan, the Geography teacher, in the same vein, described the party as “fun”. Other teachers were as well unanimous in their affirmation of the party as well-planned and scintillating. 

There is no doubt that the students, staff, and other well-wishers would relish this experience as the school goes on break.
